Session plan

Session plan

Warm-up (10')

Regular warm up and streching

First half (5')

Group is divided into groups of 3-4 people and one person of each group (volunteeer) will be blindfolded.
The groups, split and separated between each other will be standing in a line marked by cones or a rope.
On the other line, in a free space, the trainer will place a ball somewhere.

Second half (15')

Once the trainer gives the start signal, the blindfolded participant from each team, and guided by his/her teammates will go and look for the ball and catch it.
The rest of the team remains behind the rope or line of cones giving instructions to their player to get the ball.
Next round would be to change the player guided and also to challenge the teams doing it a bit differently and this would be not to be able to talk (just using sounds so that they have to come up with their own instructions)
Note: this last level is particular good for international groups with no-common language.

Cool-down (5')

Water break

Third half (15')

It's key to have questions already prepared for this session:
- How did you feel being guided from your teammates?
- What was difficult in guiding?
- Was there any change when you did it with sounds? Was it more difficult with sounds or words?
- Do you sometimes also have difficulties to trust somebody in real life?
- What are the voices you can trust in your life?
- Do you sometimes here something but are not sure if it's true?
After the questions it's important to point out how important the communication is and also how precise it has to be

Notes

The game may have many different versions:
- Catch the ball
- Score a goal
- Pass the ball back to the team
