streetfootballworld is teaming up with Football for All in Vietnam (FFAV) to strengthen the next generation of female leaders, thanks to the generous support of the German Federal Foreign Office and its ON THE MOVE Sports Promotion initiative.

The project is staged in two phases, beginning with a six-day leadership camp which kicked off September 19th, bringing together 25 young female leaders.

The leadership camps culminate in the Fun Football Festival (FFF) for Gender Equity on October 18th in the Thua Thien Hue province. Football for All in Vietnam will welcome 900 participants aged 10-14 to Huong Tra Township for an exciting festival based on the principles of respect, equality, and female empowerment. The festival will be a celebration of cultures: the opening ceremony will feature a musical performance by each mixed-gender team and a parade filled with dance and music. Monika Staab, the German Football Ambassador, will welcome the group by sharing her experiences as a female footballer.

Most importantly, the planning and implementation of the festival will not only be managed by FFAV staff but the 25 young leaders will take an active role in designing and executing the event, including the running of a series of workshops. This creates an ideal opportunity to put theory into practice for the young leaders. The young women are well equipped with leadership and life skills and will be ideal role models to the hundreds of young people from communities worldwide.

We are thrilled about this innovative partnership. Stay tuned for updates on the Fun Football Festival!
