Since teaming up in 2016 to deliver the first game-changing Field in a Box™, FedEx Express, the UEFA Foundation for Children and streetfootballworld have been busy rolling out the turf in a number of locations worldwide to ensure that local children and youth have a safe space to play.


As Main Sponsor of the UEFA Europa League, FedEx Express (a subsidiary of FedEx Corp) joined forces with the UEFA Foundation for Children and streetfootballworld in a bid to use its engagement in professional football to connect young people to new possibilities through the game. 


Through the Field in a Box™ project easy-to-install, artificial-turf sports fields are delivered to underserved communities to provide children and youth with a safe space for the development of life skills. These pitches serve as hubs where football for good projects can be implemented, often on the basis of streetfootballworld’s football3 methodology. Since the beginning of the CSR initiative, communities in four different locations worldwide have received Field in a Box™ pitches. After breaking ground in Spain, Poland, South Africa and Brazil, 2020 will see the inauguration of a pitch in Bandung, Indonesia.
