'Tackling Neglected Tropical Diseases' is a pilot project developed by The END Fund and Common Goal in partnership with streetfootballworld network members Youth Empowerment Development Initiative (YEDI) in Nigeria and Espérance in Rwanda to test a football-based approach to Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) prevention education.

YEDI and Espérance will work with national health and education ministries using their own football for good methodologies to adapt existing NTD education materials. A cohort of young leaders, teachers and health care workers will receive training on these approaches and further deliver NTD education sessions to approximately 2,000 vulnerable children in their communities. A Monitoring and Evaluation framework has been designed to establish a proof of concept for the pilot by assessing programme feasibility and adaptability; as well as measuring short-term changes in NTD knowledge, attitudes and behaviours as a result of the intervention.
